I think that this was made by a British soldier to show how badly the colonists treated tax collectors. In the picture, I think that they tarred and feathered the tax collector and are about to hang him.
Coco, I respect your answer, but I disagree. The first piece of evidence that points to a patriot, is the colonists are TRYING to anger King George. The second reason in the Sons Of Liberty are the ones tarring and feathering the tax collectors. The final reason is why would the British do this to themselves-they would not.
Coco, I respectively disagree. The first piece of evidence that shows that a patriot made this piece of art is that the sons of liberty are the ones tarring and feathering the tax collectors. The second piece of evidence is that the British wouldn’t tar the tax collectors because they work for them.
I think this is a British Colonist because the others where laughing at the tar and fethers also hanging the other person and finally they probably wanted to document it and didn't care about being taxed.
